Kanhapludult landscape
Piedmont of North Carolina

This landscape near Raleigh has used extensively for agricultural production for the past almost 200 years. On the more convex parts of the landscape, the reddish Bt horizon has been exposed by erosion.

Average annual precipitation is ~45". Parent material is mica gneiss.
