example 5

loamy-skeletal, mixed, active Xeric Dystrocryept

This soil is found in the steep mountain regions of east-central Idaho. It has formed in colluvium derived from quartzite, and as a result, has relatively low pH and base saturation. The steep slopes and cool climate combine to slow soil development.
