Torriorthent landscape
Cassia Co., Idaho

These soils develop on low terraces and gently sloping fans in southern Idaho. Silt loam textures and the lack of impeding layers, make this soil very well suited for irrigated agriculture. The field shown in this photo is in irrigated wheat production.
