loamy-skeletal, mixed, superactive, nonacid, mesic Lithic Xerorthent
(Flybow series)


These soils have formed from basalt residuum and are very shallow to bedrock. The shallow depth severely limits their use and management. The most common uses are rangeland and gravel quarries.
