Typic Udifluvent
SW Wisconsin

These soils are commonly fine-textured with stratified layers of mineral and organic matter throughout. These features are inherited from the alluvial parent material. The dynamic nature of fluvial landscapes is responsible for the lack of more advanced development and the presence of buried horizons in these soils.
