Udifluvent landscape
east-central Louisiana

This aerial photo of the Red River, LA, shows a typical Fluvent landscape. Soils closer to the river are silty-textured Udifluvents and are used for crop production. Those further out have clayey textures and are classified as Vertic Hapludolls. These soils are used for pasture and woodlands.
