hydrous, amorphic, isothermic Acrudoxic Hydrudand

In the upper 250 cm of this soil, alternating A and B horizons have formed as a result of ash falls and intermittent soil development cycles. White specks in the C horizon are gibbsite (Al[OH]3) coatings. The 15-bar H2O content ranges from 102-211% in this soil. These soils have very low cation exchange capacity, <2.0 cmol(+)/kg.
