Albaqualf landscape
central Missouri

These soils are typically found in the tall blue stem and Indian grass prairies of central Missouri. Uses include the production of corn, soybeans, and sorghum. This photo shows a harvested corn field in late winter. These soils are commonly saturated during the winter and spring months of the year. Excessive wetness is a problem for use and mangement of these soils.
