2000-present. Assistant Professor of Soil Chemistry, University of Idaho, Department of Plant Soil and Entomological Sciences, Division of Soil Science.

Research Areas: Sorption and desorption kinetics and mechanisms of contaminants and nutrients in soils and soil minerals. Research involves the use of advanced spectroscopic and microscopic analytical instruments in environmental soil chemistry.

1998-1999. Postdoctoral researcher, University of California, Berkeley, Division of Ecosystem Sciences, Berkeley, California.

Research Project: Design and implement experiments to investigate the relationship between the trace metal chemistry in soils of the San Joaquin Valley and the California Coast Mountains.

1994-1998. University Graduate Research Fellow, University of Delaware, Department of Plant and Soil Sciences, Newark, Delaware.

Research Project: Designed and implemented experiments to investigate the fate of Pb in the environment. In specific, the sorption and desorption kinetic behavior of Pb from soils and soil fractions (soil organic matter and minerals) was studied.
