1992:  Interim Chair, Plant Pathology Division.  Position description: Oversee operation of the Plant Pathology Division, with emphasis for UI campus research and teaching. Involvement in budgets; faculty recruitment; program evaluation and support and general leadership of departmental activities. Oversee operations of the division, and ensure quality science performance in appropriate functions of teaching, research and extension in plant pathology.
